Sigyn and Loki, again by chiauve Sigyn and Loki, again by chiauve
Was going for fluff and it turned out awful, but here you go anyway. Nice Disney hair, Sigyn.

In this particular universe, while Loki has had many relationships, Sigyn is the only one who is called his wife. She was a gift to him from Odin, which sounds awful but there was more to it than that. They had one son, Narfi, who as we know met a horrific end.

Nice, but they both look so tired.

Where does it say she was a gift from Odin? I've only seen her mentioned 1. place in the poetic Edda and 2. places in the prosaic Edda?

Well, Loki is supposed to look tired, at least. He doesn't sleep.
Sorry for the confusion, I guess I should have been more specific, but this is based on a story I'm working on which is based heavily on the myths but sometimes goes its own way based on the needs of that universe. Sigyn being a gift is from this storyline, not the myths at all.

Ok.
:)
I like new stories and various personal head-canons and interpretations, as long as people explain what's what ;)

<3 I love this  but as I recall, the myths say they had another son, Váli, who was turned into a slavering wolf to kill Nárfi. It was stated as 'also son of Sigyn' D:

well, there are many versions of the myths... what can we do about it? :?

Yep, that's true. This is from a specific universe I'm using in which the myths don't always match up with what happened. Stories get exaggerated and altered to fit/be understood in the cultural context. In this universe Vali is Odin's son who was fostered by Loki and lived elsewhere. He and Narfi never even met, though Narfi was still killed and his entrails used to bind Loki.
